SRAS7-CBS Cosmic Blue Sunburst Ashula

Ibanez is a pioneer in modern hybrid bass development. In 2010, the "Ashula" SR2010ASC was a rare and innovative bass when it was released, responding to many of the novelties on the market at this time.

Ibanez is proud to present the "New Ashula", the SRAS7. As the name "Ashula" indicates, SRAS7 is a banded and bandless bass hybrid.

While the SR2010ASC had two fretless strings, we've added an A string on the SRAS7 to increase the tonal range. In addition, the fretted part is located on the right side of the string, where you can play more aggressive styles such as slap bass with greater ease. The banded part of the fingerboard is made of Rosewood and the strapless part is made of Bubinga.
Different radii are applied to each section -950mmR (banded) and 0mmR (bandless). These parameters make it easier for chords on the banded part and smoother for soloing on the strapless side. The band stavarana are designed to be and provide a smooth and smooth transition between the two sections.

The neck is screwed with 5 bolts and is made of Maple/Walnut/Purpleheart. This makes it extremely stable and transmits the string's vibrations to the body effectively.

The beautiful top of the SRAS7 consists of Poplar Burl and Ash enhanced by the Dragon Eye Burst finish. The deeper cutaway design allows easier access to the upper frets. The removable finger rest offers two options; place your thumb close to the fretboard or in an upper position.

The banded part is generated by SRA Super J pickups, specially designed for this model. It gives it a clear, bright and rich dynamic tone. The strapless part is generated by the Aerosilk Piezo system. It amplifies the sound acoustically and resembles the sound of a double bass.

With the various tonal possibilities offered, magnetic, piezo or a mix of both, the SRAS7 will inspire your musical creativity and curiosity.
