RGD7521PB-DSF Deep Seafloor Fade Flat 7-String

The RGD series is a series of guitars developed with the goal of being the ultimate metal guitar. In modern metal, tuning down guitars to access fatter, heavier and meaner riffs is more the rule than the exception. On standard guitars, the scale length is a problem when tuning down, the strings tend to be like spaghetti and it's hard to get the guitar to keep the tuning and the intonation is out of whack. On the RGD series, the problem has been solved by making the scale on the neck 2.4 cm longer (672mm instead of 648mm).

The difference in how stable the strings feel is big, but the difference in how it feels to the fingers to play on a longer neck is quite small, if you have big hands you will probably experience it as an advantage with the longer scale.

The slightly beveled body makes the guitar extremely comfortable to play, and the heavily beveled horns give total access to the highest frets. The RGD7521PB is a 7th equipped with a Gibraltar Standard II-7 fixed bridge, for those who want to be able to change tuning often without having to mess with a swing, or who simply don't want a swing.

The guitar comes tuned from the factory in a full step down, from high to low, 1D, 2A, 3F, 4C. 5G, 6D, 7A).

The body is made of Nyatoh with a Burl poplar top. This makes it a wood that, in terms of sound, is easy to color in many different directions and get many different kinds of sounds out of it. The even frequency reproduction also makes it very suitable for distorted sounds, it glues the sound together nicely without it being either scattered or indistinct. It is an ultimate metal guitar.
