The new NXTa series, Electric Violin Series, with the new active output electronics, includes 4 and 5 string violins, as well as banded versions, all with physical elegance, incredible lightness and fantastic tone.

With the help of adjustment screws, the stand (maple) can be easily adjusted to the desired action height, high and powerful, low and fast, or anywhere in between. An adjustable ebony chin rest is standard. Also suitable for those who want a more comprehensive choice of adjustments, for fit and comfort. The Standard Custom Shoulder Rest is highly adjustable, and the base can easily be shaped to fit the chest and shoulder perfectly.

The patented tuning system is built into the bottom of the body and allows for quick, easy and precise adjustment, exceptional tuning stability and easy string changes.

At the heart of the NXTa is a Polar ™ Pickup System, whose piezo components convert string vibration directly into signal output. This provides a balanced, tonally rich reproduction of tone and offers a wide range of expressive possibilities. Arco and Pizzicato have significantly different vibration characteristics, and the Polar Pickup system faithfully captures both.

The new dual-signal signal output electronics in the NXTa take the convenience, versatility and performance capabilities of the NXT to another level.

Using the included charger, plug the NXTa into a wall outlet for 60 seconds to charge the capacitor-powered active circuitry for up to 16 hours of playtime. The instrument can then be plugged straight into any low or high impedance input, no di-box needed.
Because there is no signal loss across the entire frequency spectrum of the instrument, every note is clear and strong, even with extra long cables. Passive Mode - The NXTa can be played in this mode when using a di-box or an amplifier with a high impedance input. (This mode provides performance capabilities identical to the original NXT.) NXTa instruments are battery-less, eliminating the hassle and expense of batteries while protecting our environment.
