As a tribute to electric guitar pioneer Ted McCarty (1909-2001), PRS launched its McCarty model in 1994!
In this guitar, Paul and Ted's ideas, knowledge and innovations have flowed together into a guitar with classic thinking but with modern features and a vintage sound with innovative details that give you the opportunity to find your perfect sound! Paul's 58/15 pickups combined with the slightly thicker, solid mahogany body provide a warm and rich vintage tone but with superb clarity and focused midrange.
