The key components are created by Austrian Audio in Vienna, to create a linear listening experience. The team has made measurements and listening tests and has concluded that a 44mm diaphragm is the optimal size for this type of headphone. The diaphragm ensures professional performance in the Hi-X models, moves a lot of air and eliminates 'wobbly' diaphragms. This in turn results in damped drivers, and this is where the 3-layer diaphragm really shows results: it's ultra-stiff, but at the same time reduces unwanted resonance. One important thing we learned is that headphones need to be as comfortable as they are reliable, as well as delivering excellent sound.
