The thick carved 15㎜ (19/32") maple top on a mahogany body is a classic wood combination that simply cannot be beat: thick, cutting, warm, rich, full.
EMG RetroActive Fat 55 humbuckers provide the best of both worlds: warm and smooth vintage tones with all the benefits of active low impedance output. The respected Tune-O-Matic bridge with stop tailpiece provides the classic look of singlecut guitars and the all-important transmission of string vibrations to the body.
The 3-way rocker switch selects either humbucker or both. Set-Neck Construction Set-neck construction provides a sound and feel quite different from the bolt-on with improved sustain and a more focused midrange sound that cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter. The vintage-inspired tuning forks exude a cool retro vibe while providing excellent tuning stability and functionality.
The CR300's finish showcases the best qualities of both glossy and matte surfaces, providing a luxurious look that also feels smooth to the touch.
