The semi-acoustic Hagström Viking was presented for the first time in 1965. The guitar became one of Hagström's most famous models – Elvis Presley used one in his comeback show "NBC TV Special" from 1968. Until 1979, several thousand copies of the Viking were produced. Today's Viking guitars have hollow maple bodies with through-stock and F-holes, Canadian maple necks, and 22-fret Resinator Wood fretboards, unless otherwise noted.
