With two separate overdrive units, the Tubedreamer and the Lucydreamer, under the same roof, the Double Dreamer 3 has unique features that provide maximum variety, practicality and functionality in the smallest possible footprint. Like all JAM Pedals, it is still 100% handmade. High-gain footswitch, which can be switched to work on the Tubedreamer, the Lucydreamer, or both. Internal dip switches can route the IN and OUT jacks to act as Send-Returns, so you can place the two halves in different places in your signal chain. If you have a stereo setup, you can use TD for one amp and LD for the other.
The Tubedreamer (left) is JAM Pedal's version of the legendary 808 Tubescreamer with a carefully tuned midrange to deliver a warm and rich overdrive sound through any amp. An important difference between the TD and other Tubescreamer clones is that JAM has chosen to use 3 diodes for asymmetrical clipping instead of symmetrical, which significantly increases the response.
The Lucydreamer (right) is a Dry/Wet overdrive that doesn't have as pronounced a mid-hump as the Tubedreamer, and lets more of the low frequencies come through. It can follow every nuance of your playing with a wide spectrum, from dynamic tube-amp feel to full-on high-gain saturation. It complements the TD ideally and makes the Double Dreamer an extremely versatile pedal, with numerous combinations available.
