The new "single channel" Carl Martin PlexiTone is designed in collaboration with Pete Thorn, and is housed in a small pedalboard-friendly can with 3 knobs and a switch. Apart from Pete's slight modifications that give this pedal a tighter bottom end and slightly softer treble, it has exactly the same gain structure as in the High Gain mode of the Pro-Series PlexiTone.
The new Plexin has also incorporated a brand new DC-DC conversion, so the pedal can be powered with a 9V adapter, but still operates on the same +-12V as the original. This means that Carl Martin can use the same quality components, and get the same tone and headroom that has placed the Carl Martin PlexiTone in a class of its own.
