The JSM100 is a guitar that was released on the market in 1991 and has been John's constant companion ever since. The guitar a classic 335a-like classic design in the absolute top tier of guitars, i.e. a semi-thick semi-hollowbody body with a set-in neck and a through middle stock. The JSM100 is a guitar where nothing is left to chance and nothing has been spared anywhere, a guitar that is as good as a guitar can be.
The neck is a JSM set-in mahogany neck with a Compound Radius ebony fingerboard. Compound Radius can most simply be described as a successful combination of the best of two worlds. The fingerboard is more arched at the low frets for easy and comfortable chord playing and then flattens out more the higher you go up the neck to be optimal for solo playing. The band markers are pearl and abalone block inlays of a traditional cut, stylish and timeless.
The pickups are classic Ibanez Super 58, a pickup that needs no introduction. Crafted from figured Anigre and lacquered in a tasteful sunburst, the body is truly eye-poppingly delicious. Even the bottom and sides are of figured Anigre..
A truly eye-catching instrument in a stylish and sophisticated way for those who want the best of the best.
