One of Takamine's most popular models, the EF381, has become the model for the GD38CE. The result is a 12-string dreadnought with pickup system in a classic design that has been seen on the very biggest stages around the world.
The GD38CE is equipped with the TP-3G preamp which is designed to have the same sound as Takamine's slightly legendary “Brownie preamp”. The TP-3G has been designed to bring out the warm natural sound that the Brownie delivered and features a 3-band EQ, Notch Filter and built-in tuner.
