New Beat is a classic & after all these years still Zildjian's best selling hi-hat cap!
The original was developed by the legendary drummer Louie Bellson who sought a sound with a perfect balance between stock sound in all dynamics & a clear chick when played with the foot. This was found with an evenly turned & hammered hi-hat that sounds just as fantastic closed, half-open as fully open & which responds to openings lightning fast. The dynamics are incredible & depending on how & where on the hi-hat you play with the stock you can get so many different sounds out of it.
