LGB30-NT (Natural) George Benson signature model. Ibanez George Benson models have been on the market since 1977 and can in no way be seen as anything other than classics in the jazz guitar market.
The GB30 has a 3-piece set-in (glued) mahogany/maple LGB neck, an easy-to-play, stable neck that is comfortable for the hand both when playing chords and single notes. The neck reaches the body at the 14th fret on the bass side and at the sixteenth on the treble side.
The fingerboard is bound ebony, all for an optimal combination of tone, sustain and feel, with block inlays of Pearl and Abalone.
The neck which is a 24.75" (628mm) scale is banded with 22 very well polished medium frets that have received the Ibanez Artstar Fret Edge Treatment.
The pickups are Super 58 humbuckers that are mounted in the cover. The pickups each have their own tone and volume and are connected to a 3-position toggle switch.
The body is laminated spruce in the top and flamed maple in the bottom and sides, which makes a more stable guitar that becomes less sensitive to humidity and more durable.
Simply put, a guitar that's built to sound perfect and be absolutely reliable night after night for life.
