ES3 Analog/Digital Delay. A completely unparalleled analog/digital delay with many features that you rarely or never see on a delay, simply something out of the ordinary.
The pedal is thus a 100% analogue and digital delay in the same pedal. The analog delay is big, full and warm.
A delay that really adds something more than just "repeats" to your guitar sound, it makes the whole sound bloom. A delay that marries the signal instead of making your sound fuzzy and unfocused as many delays like to do, fighting against instead of following along.
New from the previous version, ES2, is that the delay time on the analog has been shortened to increase the resolution in the circuit and reduce the noise level.
The difference is immediately noticeable. A delay that works just as well before the amplifier as it does in the races. The digital delay is as it should be, long delay times available, clean and neat. It also marries well with the guitar sound.
Also new from the previous version is more control over the modulation. Mild use of the pedal's built-in modulation makes clean sounds heavenly beautiful, a subtle pitch change just on the delay tone makes the sound big, bigger, BIGGEST! With more extreme settings, you can find completely new and exciting sounds. Another novelty is that you can now make it self-oscillate by holding down the TAP/OSC button instead of having to bend down and flip a switch.
An incredibly creative tool. Finding an analog delay with tap tempo is not exactly easy, but here you have one. So you can stamp the song's tempo with your foot and your delay follows the song's tempo nicely (and the difference between a delay that is in "time" or not is bigger than you might think). Of course, you can just as easily set the delay time with the pedal's slider. The pedal also has a switch to make it internally self-oscillate, snap it on and touch the pedal's controls and you can create oceans of wonderful, crazy, beautiful, totally crazy sounds and sound effects.
The pedal is switchable between instrument and line signal, which makes it as good a tool in the studio or for keyboard as it is for guitar. With delay times continuously adjustable from 40ms up to 1500ms, you have all the times you could ever need.
