GVB1006-AM (Amber) Gerald Veasley signature model.
The GVB1006 is a luxury bass in boutique class, a bass where nothing has been spared from wood selection to parts, everything is the best you can find. The bass is a narrow six with 14mm string spacing (normal is 16.5) and this is to facilitate chord playing, which is a large part of Gerald's playing style. The body is a comfortably cut alder body with a selected beautiful flamed maple top. The head also has a flaming maple top, matching headstock. The bridge is the Ibanez Mono-Rail IV, a bridge designed to isolate the strings from each other. The insulation provides optimal transmission of the string's vibrations down into the body without the strings affecting each other. A stable and very easily adjusted stable.
The bass is equipped with an extremely flexible EQ/Preamp system from AGUILAR® called OBP-3. It has a ± 18db boost/cut at 40Hz, ± 16db boost/cut at 400Hz or 800Hz (selectable with push/pull pot) and ± 16db boost/cut at 6.5kHz. A system that, together with the Bartonili® P45C pickups, makes it easy to turn out a very wide palette of useful sounds. A true top bass for the truly discerning bassist who only wants the best. Unbelievably good!
